What was our brief:
Market Sense was asked to provide specialist marketing support to the infant business ‘Carvetii Coffee Roasters’. Contracted by Britain’s Energy Coast the brief was to increase market awareness of this fledgling coffee specialist who aims to bring great coffee to Cumbria. They were looking to attract wholesale customers in the premium coffee market and grow their on-line presence.
What did we do:
Listening to their ideas, understanding their culture and appreciating their skills and knowledge, it was clear they planned to revolutionise coffee drinking in Cumbria matching that of the London scene. Market Sense capitalised on their passion and provenance with a succession of PR stories and photographs endorsing their position in Cumbria as Trailblazing Coffee Experts. Articles in Cumbria Life, appearances on radio and entering the CN Business Awards created new platforms, helping them develop their premium position. Giving them a louder voice has opened doors to new customers and new partnership opportunities. They have become the coolest coffee experts in Cumbria.
What did they say:
Tracey was immersed into a world which she had little knowledge. Undeterred, she listened, came along to our events, spent time at the Roastery and bought a grinder and some beans to brew her own coffee at home. It quickly became apparent that she had a genuine interest in understanding how our business operated and our aims for the future. This is one of her strengths: a desire to understand each of her clients and to determine a bespoke package of support which best meets their needs.
We’ve had great exposure, and in writing our CN Business Award entry, the quality and content of our final application showed a wonderful insight into the workings of our business; one that could only have been fostered through a close working relationship with us. We went on to win the ‘New Business of the Year’ category at an evening where several other Market Sense clients also achieved success.
Tracey has connected us to numerous individuals and businesses which have helped Carvetii Coffee Roasters develop into the successful company we are today. It is fair to say that her unwavering belief in us and her positive feedback has helped us stay true to our philosophy, and at times has given us a renewed energy.
We have learnt so much. Tracey has had a positive impact on both our business and on us too. She is probably our greatest advocate and is without doubt a true champion of local business.
